11 HALVES.1 MARATHON.

I’m Elliot and I’m running 11 half marathons in 11 months, finishing with the London Marathon in April 2027. I’m doing it all to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.

Why I’m running

For my Grandmas and everyone affected by dementia.

In the space of six years, I lost both of my grandmothers to dementia. Nana Jean was sociable, outgoing and always planning a family adventure. Nana Marlene lived for everything equine and rode horses well into her eighties.

Over time, dementia took away some of the things that helped define them. It affected the whole family, including those who took on caring roles.

This challenge is for them, and for every person whose life has been, or is being, affected by dementia. I’m raising money for Alzheimer’s Society to support people living with dementia and the families around them.
