Privacy notice.

This notice explains how I handle the personal information you provide through the contact form on the 11 Halves. 1 Marathon. website.

Who is responsible?

I’m Elliot Smith and I’m responsible for the personal information submitted through this website. You can contact me about your information using the contact form on the homepage.

What I collect

When you use the contact form, I collect your name, email address, optional organisation, the contents of your message and the time it was submitted.

Why I use it

I use this information only to read, manage and respond to your enquiry. My lawful basis is legitimate interests: it is necessary for me to respond when somebody chooses to contact me about the challenge.

I do not use contact-form details for advertising, add them to a mailing list or sell them.

Where it is stored

Contact-form submissions are stored securely using Supabase, which provides the website’s database infrastructure. I do not make submissions publicly available. Service providers may process information outside the UK using the safeguards described in their data protection terms.

How long I keep it

I normally delete contact-form submissions within 12 months. I may keep an enquiry for longer when a conversation is still active or where I need to retain it to meet a legal obligation.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for a copy of your information or ask me to correct, delete or restrict how I use it. You may also object to my use of your information. Use the contact form to make a request.

If you are unhappy with how your information is handled, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Cookies and external websites

This website does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. The hosting and security services supporting the site may use technologies that are strictly necessary to deliver and protect it.

The site links to external services including JustGiving, Strava and social media platforms. Their own privacy and cookie policies apply after you follow those links.
